Mary Lou Lyon - CrossCare International (USA, Europe, Eastern Europe, former Soviet Union)

As a professional counselor, Mary Lou serves as a resource to pastors, missionaries,
churches and mission agencies in providing emotional and spiritual care for their
ministries. A special focus of her work is support for Christian workers in Europe and
Eastern Europe. She travels to this part of the world meeting with mission leaders,
speaking at conferences and providing individual counseling. The goal of her ministry
is to help missionaries and Christian workers survive and thrive in the midst of the
unique pressures they encounter.

Peggy interacts with diplomats, wives of diplomats, and women who are chiefs of staff to
members of congress. Her purpose is to serve them and to share with them the basic
teachings of Jesus Christ and encourage them to respond to his message of real and lasting hope.
Keith Patman - Wycliffe Bible Translators (USA, West and Central Africa)

Keith provides tools and training to African Bible translators. The main tool he is helping
to develop is a series of translation guides to the books of the Bible, written in French
for those who are translating from French versions of the Bible into their own African
languages. He is also currently involved in twice-yearly training workshops in Central
African Republic for teams from four languages that are translating the Gospel of Luke.
Steve and Janice Quakenbush - Wycliffe Bible Translators (Dallas, Texas)

Steve and Janice Quakenbush served in the Philippines 1984-2008, primarily as part of a
team that translated the Agutaynen New Testament, dedicated in 2004. Steve directed the
work in the Philippines 1997-2001, and coordinated Academic Services for Asia 2004-2008.
Today they are committed to providing academic resources and training for a worldwide
Bible translation movement, so that peoples of all nations can have access to the
Scriptures in a language that speaks to their hearts.
Recently, Steve began his new assignment as International Academic Services Director.

PC(USA) Mission - in the Mideast
As part of its mission work with the PC(USA), NPC supports a missionary couple
(names withheld for security reasons) who have been long-term missionaries in Berlin, Germany,
but now minister in a Middle Eastern country. PC(USA) is concerned about Christians
in this country and about the indigenous peoples there, and the couple has a ministry to both

Dustin and Sherri Ellington - PC(USA) World Mission (Zambia, Southern Africa)
Dustin and Sherri Ellington are missionaries to Lusaka, Zambia.
Dustin is a professor of New Testament at
Justo Mwale Theological University College (JMTUC) and Sherri is teaching the
first year English course at the university. The university trains in English
pastors and leaders for several Presbyterian and other Reformed denominations
in Africa.
The university offers a Bachelor's degree in theology, a Master's in biblical studies
and hermeneutics, a Women's Ministry Certificate, and short-term training for evangelists.
Zambia is a country with 72 indigenous dialects, so English is used as a common language.

Payap University/McGilvary College of Divinity - Chiang Mai, Thailand
Rev. Dr. Esther Wakeman
Esther is Vice President for Spiritual and Community Life at Payap University in Chiang Mai,
the oldest Christian college in Thailand. She and her staff are responsible for worship
services, required chapel programs, small prayer groups, retreats, workshops and pastoral care.
She also oversees the new residential life program of Payap and is Interim Director of
the Christian Communications Institute (CCI) which uses traditional and modern Thai art,
music, dance, and drama to share the gospel in schools and villages all over Thailand.
Her husband, Rev. Robert Collins, a retired mission worker, teaches New Testament at
McGilvary College of Divinity of Payap University.
Satanun Boonyakiat
As Dean of McGilvary College of Divinity, Dr. Boonyakiat helps this institution continue
its 100-year legacy of training for ministry in Thailand and Southeast Asia. For over a
decade, NPC's Southeast Asia team has partnered with McGilvary through financial support,
English tutoring in Thailand to faculty and students, hosting Thai faculty members in
the U.S. for language immersion, and mentoring Southeast Asian pastors and leaders
pursing advanced degrees in the U.S.

Fraser and Liz Bennett - Wycliffe Bible Translators (Dallas, Texas)

Fraser has served with Wycliffe since 1988. Prior to their marriage in 1994,
Liz taught English in China (1988-1993). Fraser has researched languages in
Southeast Asia and taught linguistics to new Bible translators in Thailand.
In his current role as Language Programs Training Director, his job is to
ensure that Bible translators, translation advisers, and the specialists who
support them have the training they need. Fraser and Liz have five children,
ages 12 to 1.
Stuart and Cathie Showalter - Wycliffe Bible Translators (Burkina Faso, West Africa)

These words from the book of Acts in the Bible have finally reached the Kaan people of
Burkina Faso, in their own language. The Christians among the Kaan are waiting for the
completion of the New Testament in the Kaansa language. Find out how long it will take,
