Outreach Bulletin Board: Opportunities to Serve

To add an event, please contact Megan Stuart, .

First Fridays on McKenna's Wagon

NPC has been invited to staff one of two McKenna's Wagon vans operated by Martha's Table the first Friday of June and July. If we are successful at staffing both dates with NPC members and friends (only need four per day), NPC will be invited to support this effort on an ongoing basis.

Those who serve are asked to arrive at Martha's Table, located at 2114 14th Street, N.W. (3 blocks from U St/Shaw METRO Station), between 4:45 and 5:00 p.m. on date of service. The group receives a brief overview of the program and then leaves by 5:15 to go to a site where dinner is served to the homeless by the staff from the Wagon. We return to Martha's Table between 6:15 and 6:30.

If you are interested, write to for additional information or availability. Since there are relatively few slots, space is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
