First Fridays on McKenna's Wagon (rev. 08/22/11)
NPC has been invited to staff one of two McKenna's Wagon vans operated by Martha's Table the first Friday of every month. In order to do so, we need 3 to 4 volunteers each time we serve. If interested you may volunteer once or on an ongoing basis as space is available.
Those who serve are asked to arrive at Martha's Table, located at 2114 14th Street, N.W. (3 blocks from U St/Shaw METRO Station), between 4:30 and 4:45 p.m. on date of service. The group receives a brief overview of the program and then leaves by 5:00 to drive to 2nd and New Jersey Ave. N.W., where dinner is served to the homeless by the NPC members. We return to Martha's Table between 6:00 and 6:15.
