Marriage Ministries
We offer the following programs to assist couples as they prepare to marry and to help those seeking ways to build stronger marriages:
Prepare for Marriage Course
A seven-session series, offered twice a year on Sunday mornings, covers topics essential to a
lifetime commitment in a healthy Christian Marriage and is a
prerequisite for those being married at National.
To inquire about or register for the Prepare for Marriage Course,
PREPARE Inventory
This resource helps couples explore strength and growth areas in their relationships.
It is administered and interpreted during two separate sessions with a counselor
certified by PREPARE.
Weddings
To schedule and plan a wedding at National,
Counseling
The officiating pastor schedules several private counseling sessions with each couple getting married at NPC.
Marriage Mentoring
Couples, trained as mentors, are connected with engaged couples to provide support during the first year of marriage.
Mentoring couples themselves receive ongoing support through bi-annual dinners which include
sessions of continuing education.
The Marriage Course
NPC Marriage Ministries invites you to participate in this course
designed to strengthen and enrich your marriage. Over seven evenings, couples view
a video and spend time in a romantic, quiet setting to discuss tools that build strong
and healthy marriages. Topics include: recognizing each other's needs, learning
to communicate more effectively, resolving conflict, healing past hurts, making time
for each other, and having fun together. Couples of all ages benefit from these practical
and fun presentations.
Course fee ($45/couple) includes materials and refreshments.

Love Is a Many-Splendored Thing
An annual event that takes place on Valentines' Weekend.
