Meeting Brothers and Sisters in Syria and Lebanon

Though the war and refugee crisis in Syria and Lebanon may seem far away, Presbyterian brothers and sisters in those lands are living out their faith and ministry in this challenging time. Parish Associate Nancy Fox reports on her July visit to schools and other ministries of the church in Lebanon that serve Syrian refugees. Islam and the West: Promoting the Dialogue of Civilizations

The current state of relations between the West and the Muslim World is a point of vital concern and serious discussion in the public square. Ambassador Ahmed, Ibn Khaldun Chair of Islamic Studies at American University and former Pakistan High Commissioner to the UK and Ireland, presents the urgent need for interfaith dialogue today, in hopes of fostering bridge-building and understanding of the “other.”
