Jill Meek, Director of Children's Ministries

Jill Meek comes to us from Fayetteville, Arkansas. She is a graduate of John Brown University with a B.S. in Children and Family Ministries with a minor in psychology. She has served in the children's ministry program at Central United Methodist Church, Fayetteville, a church of about 4,000 members.

In her work with David C. Cook Publishers, Jill wrote and edited curriculum and church resource materials, including "Real Life Download," an on-line curriculum supplement published on DavidCCook.com. She also helped in the development of Vacation Bible School curricula.

Jill has researched the connection between the parent-child relationship and children’s spirituality, and she presented her findings on this topic at a symposium in 2007. She also has done research measuring children’s knowledge of evangelical Christian doctrines. This work will be published.

A vibrant faith in Jesus Christ has led Jill throughout her career. As she describes what the Lord is teaching her right now, she says, "God is correcting my views of who he is and who I am -- giving me a greater God and a smaller me."
