The Alpha Course (see below for calendar information) is an opportunity to explore the validity and relevance of the Christian faith for our lives today. It is a practical introduction to the basics of Christianity with loads of opportunity for questions and discussion. The style of Alpha is informal, friendly and non-pressured.
Alpha is for:
Anyone interested in finding out more about the Christian faith. Adults of all ages are welcome.
Learning and laughter. It is possible to learn about the Christian faith and have fun at the same time.
People meeting together. An opportunity to get to know others and to make new friends.
Helping one another. The small groups give you a chance to discuss issues raised during the talks.
Alpha is enjoyed and appreciated as much by those who have never set foot in a church as it is by regular churchgoers. A weekend retreat midway through the course focuses on the person and work of the Holy Spirit. This weekend is a key part of the Alpha Course and a great time of building community!
